Another one Down
Another game complete! Sorry for the lack of posting, there is no excuse. Kid Kombat is now 100% complete. Click on the right for the downloads.
The Charlotte Game Dev group is going to start on a 2nd game very shortly, it's going to be pretty cool IMO, and you can play it single player too which will be good. I'll release details soon, as I will be laying the groundwork for the game shortly.
Duck Slaughter 2 will be put on hold for a while. With the CGD's new game, and another project I am going to work on for the next month, I'm not even going to try to make progress on it.
The new project is a console based D&D style game. It's part of a Gamedev.net exercise and I thought it would be a good way to work on OO design and tighten up some of my programming. It's a console game but it's very complex as far as combat goes. I think it's really going to help me in the long run and it's already been fun to work on. The game is called Console Combat. Normally I wouldn't use the same word in 2 subsequent games, but creativity is running low and a much distant priority to actually finishing stuff.
On a more personal note, I've been trying to work on games a little more every day instead of all at once every month. It's been working pretty well and I seem to be getting a lot more done this way.
4th game complete? Seems like a lot (to me anyway). I consider myself an expert at starting simple games, and it's only been about 9 months. Here's to the next 4 games!
